Veeti Mähönen, a sophomore from Kirkkonummi, Finland, traveled a long way to work towards the possibility of becoming a professional golfer with a degree in business.
“The culture of Oxford was something different when I came here to a visit,” he said. “I also learned about how great the business program is at Ole Miss. That was important because academics is imperative to me, even as an athlete.”
Considering he is a freshman, Veeti is working on his general business classes right now, getting a feel for what specific business route suits his style.
“I have two solid options to choose from when I graduate. I will either play professional golf or go to grad school somewhere in Europe. After that, pursuing a career somewhere in the business world,” he said.
