Finance Student Spotlight

Jordan Block, Junior Finance Student

Meet Jordan Block, a junior from St. Joseph, Michigan, majoring in finance with minors in French and Entrepreneurship.

When asked about her favorite thing about the business school, Jordan said,

“I really like the opportunity to work cross functionally with all the other program areas. Just because I’m a finance major doesn’t mean I can’t take a sales class or entrepreneurship class. I’m really allowed to pursue any part of the business world I’m interested in.”

Last summer, Jordan successfully completed an internship for Whirlpool as a part of their “RealWhirled” sales program. She has already been invited back for a return internship next summer, which she hopes will become a full-time job offer beginning in January 2025. Additionally, Jordan is a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, the UM French Club, and works as a swim instructor and lifeguard for campus recreation.

Way to go, Jordan!
