Paul D. Johnson, Ph.D., is the Associate Dean; the Thomas W. Colbert Lecturer in Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Finance, and Associate Professor of Management in the School of Business Administration. He is the author of numerous publications on innovation, creativity, and motivational processes in entrepreneurial teams. His work has appeared in The Journal of Management, The Journal of Applied Psychology, and The Journal of Organizational Behavior, among others. He represented Ole Miss in the SEC Leadership Development Program in 2019-2020.
After attending the University of Oklahoma for a B.S. in Zoology and an MBA, he received his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University in 2010. He then worked at Western Carolina University, where he became Department Chair and Assistant Dean for Strategic Planning until he came to the University of Mississippi in 2015. When in North Carolina, he founded the Neurophysiological Work Behavior Laboratory.
