Dr. Melissa Cinelli

Associate Professor of Marketing

Melissa Cinelli is Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Mississippi. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2011. Dr. Cinelli’s research broadly examines the social functions that brands and products serve for consumers, specifically examining how brands’ and consumers’ identities interact to shape brand evaluations and impression formation and management. Her work has been published in a number of journals, including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Sciences, and the Journal of Advertising.
