Cynthia K. Maupin is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Mississippi. She earned her Ph.D. in I-O Psychology from the University of Georgia. Dr. Maupin’s research investigates the phenomena that support effective teamwork and leadership processes that result in organizational innovation and effectiveness. In particular, she employs her methodological expertise in network analytics, multilevel modeling, and computational modeling to advance both theory development and real-world practices for leaders and teams.
Dr. Maupin has published her research in organizational outlets including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, The Leadership Quarterly, and Organizational Dynamics, among others. Dr. Maupin was awarded the 2022 Outstanding Publication of the Year Award from the University of Mississippi School of Business Administration. Her research has also been recognized with the 2021 Alvah H. Chapman Jr. Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Academy of Management’s Network of Leadership Scholars and the FIU Center for Leadership and the 2017 Leadership Quarterly Best Paper Award. Dr. Maupin’s research has been supported by the U.S. Army Research Institute (ARI), the Center for Collective Dynamics of Complex Systems (CoCo), and the Ziskin Future of Work Award.
