Christian Evans is a senior, double majoring in finance and real estate from Covington, Louisiana, who will serve as the 2020-2021 president of the Student Real Estate Society at the Ole Miss Business School.
Evans originally came to Ole Miss because of the great southern feel that it offered. He knew that he wanted to major in finance, but the business school helped him discover his love for real estate.
“My favorite thing about the business school would have to be how inviting and helpful the students and faculty are within it,” he said.
Evans is very grateful for the many connections and friends that he has made through the business school. He enjoys the mentorship of Sergio Garate, the current advisor of the Student Real Estate Society. He is also grateful for the assistance he has received with his resume, exploring internships, interviewing tips and numerous other things.
“I have always received the feedback that I need in order to succeed,” he said. “The advice I have been given over the past three years has even helped me successfully land two summer internships in the real estate industry.”
After graduation in May 2021, Evans plans to seek a career in commercial real estate in the property development sector.
