STEP 2: Read the Student Handbook

Learn important policies and procedures in the Student Handbook (PDF).

STEP 3: Prepare for Your Meeting

Before your advising meeting, grab the Typical Freshman Schedule (PDF) and make course selections. Want more detailed information on courses for each major? Check out our degree plans.

STEP 4: Meet with Your Advisor

During orientation, you will be given additional information about your advising appointment. Advising appointments will take place on day two of orientation along with registering for classes.

STEP 5: Register for Classes

After meeting with an academic advisor, log into your MyOleMiss account, create your Favorites, and register for classes.
