Sarah is an alumna of the University of Mississippi School of Business. She graduated in 2019 with a bachelor of business (BBA) degree in Marketing and Corporate Relations and double minored in Entrepreneurship and Recreation Administration. As an undergraduate, she interned at the Mississippi Small Business Development Center (MS-SBDC). Upon graduation, she began working for a hyperlocal lifestyle publication in Collierville, Tennessee. Through CARES Act funding, Sarah was brought back onto the Mississippi SBDC team to serve as the Extension Specialist. She spends most of her time coordinating outreach events with various campus and statewide stakeholders for the Portable Assistant Grant. Sarah also helped assist and instruct Mississippi SBDC’s first 4-week cohort Accelerator Program: Taking the Leap. In addition, Sarah collaborates on partnership projects with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office and other stakeholders. This past year, Sarah has also led nine student interns and their work on various projects. Sarah is pursuing her Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications at the University of Mississippi.
