Memphis Roadshow Reception Held

The Business Connect program hosted a roadshow reception for Memphis-based employers and alumni at the Crescent Club in Memphis, Tennessee. A planning committee comprised of Memphis area Ole Miss alumni identified business professionals and companies that would be a good fit to hire Ole Miss School of Business students for internships and full-time positions. Approximately 35 representatives from 19 different companies attended the reception.

The reception provided an opportunity for employers to network while learning more about how the Business Connect program supports the talent acquisition goals of our employer partners. Bo Allen, primary event host, welcomed guests and introduced special guest speakers, Dr. Ken Cyree, Dean of the Ole Miss Business School, and Dr. Noel Wilkin, Provost of the University of Mississippi. Tyler Meisenheimer, Business Connect Director, highlighted the program’s mission and encouraged employers to partner with Business Connect to fulfill their talent acquisition goals.

Allen, Regional President of West Tennessee, Arkansas, and North Mississippi for First Horizon Bank, offered his opinion on the efforts of the Business Connect program. “I applaud the University and Business School for making efforts to connect with businesses in Memphis and other cities to assist future graduates with both internships and job placement. Ole Miss Business School students are proven to be outstanding hires and our Company, First Horizon Bank, looks forward to meeting and interviewing more Ole Miss Graduates.”

Tyler Meisenheimer has followed up with employers to thoroughly discuss how the Business Connect program can benefit their individual hiring needs by providing business-ready students and graduates. The Business Connect program looks forward to hosting roadshow receptions in other cities in the future.
