MBA Student Helps Bring U.S. Title to Women’s Golf

Kennedy Swann, from Austin, Texas, is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Ole Miss. She is also a member of the women’s golf team, who recently won the national title.

“I still can’t believe we won the Natty, and honestly I’ve been asked what it feels like too many times to count,” she said. “Even with it being asked that many times, you think I would have an answer by now, but I don’t. It makes me speechless.”

As an undergraduate, Swann majored in multidisciplinary studies, with a triple minor in math, education, and sports and recreation. “It was a pretty easy choice to select Ole Miss for graduate school since I was offered a 5th year of eligibility due to Covid-19,” she said. “Without this extra year, I would not be a national champion or have my master’s degree.”

Swann’s favorite thing about Ole Miss and the business school is the amount of dedication by the faculty, staff and students. Her favorite professor this past year was “Dr. Novi (Milorad Novicevic), who teaches MBA 601 (Ethics). His class was very thought provoking and informative and will help me in my professional career.”

Upon completion of her MBA this summer, she plans to turn pro and attempt to get her LPGA card.
