Dr. Aiken’s primary area of research is multilingual electronic meetings, and he developed the first such system in the early 1990s. He has published almost 300 articles in journals, conference proceedings, and other outlets including: ACM Transactions on Information Systems; Decision Support Systems; Information & Management; Journal of Information Science; IEEE Transactions on Man, Machines, and Cybernetics; Journal of Systems and Software; Journal of Business Communication; and Database.
Dr. Aiken received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma; a B.A. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Business from the State University of New York; an MBA from the University of Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Visual Basic, Cobol, Web programming, E-commerce and foundations of MIS.
