Matthew Henriksson is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Mississippi. His research interests include investor behavior, Fintech (marketplace lending), political finance, and textual analysis. His work has been presented at several major conferences including the American Finance Association (AFA), the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) European Conference on Household Finance, Society for Financial Studies (SFS) Cavalcade, the Financial Management Association (FMA), the Northern Finance Association (NFA), the Midwest Finance Association (MFA), the Eastern Finance Association (EFA), and the Southern Finance Association (SFA). He was also a semifinalist for the best paper in investments at the 2019 FMA Annual Meeting.
Dr. Henriksson has taught courses spanning corporate and personal finance at the University of Mississippi and the University of South Florida, where he earned his Ph.D. He also earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Florida. Before returning to academia, he worked at The Walt Disney Company, where he led a team of business forecasting and planning analysts in the Revenue Management and Analytics Department.
