Bart L. Garner, Ph.D. is an Instructional Associate Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the University of Mississippi. He received his B.S. in Physics at the University of California Riverside in 1988 and his Ph.D. in Business Administration at the University of Mississippi in 2004. Before joining the faculty at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) he worked in industry as a network engineer, systems administrator, programmer and division manager. His research interests and publications are in clustering using unsupervised machine learning methods, neural networks, knowledge management, and learning outcomes in the classroom. He has been a faculty advisor to the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) student chapter at Ole Miss. In 2008, Ole Miss hosted the AITP National Collegiate Conference and he served as co-chair. He currently teaches MIS and serves as Director of Operations and Information Technology for the School of Business Administration at Ole Miss.
