The Career Prep and Business Connect teams at the University of Mississippi School of Business would like to thank our corporate partners for choosing to recruit and hire our talented business-ready students and graduates over the 2020-2021 academic year.
Although employer travel and social distancing restrictions limited contact with candidates, our team worked diligently with each industry partner to strategize an effective and targeted approach to connect with highly qualified students for internships and full-time employment.
Over the past 10 months, there were over 50 industry-leading companies that planned to actively recruit our business students through locations such as New York City, Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa, Dallas, Houston, Memphis and throughout Mississippi. We are able to report nearly 600 interested applicants, over 50 interviews and 20 accepted job offers from our top partnering firms.
In addition, our students successfully completed 138 internships through the business school’s academic credit internship program. Business students interned in a variety of locations including 22 states and the District of Columbia. These interns excelled in their respective positions with an average employer rating of 9.3/10.
We are proud of these successes and could not have accomplished them without employer partners like you.
As we look to the future, we are excited to report that the University of Mississippi and School of Business Administration is “open for business” for the 2021-2022 academic year. We welcome our industry partners to Ole Miss and look forward to offering on-campus recruitment options for the upcoming Fall 2021.
Industry-leading organizations have a variety of engagement options including: attending career expos, presenting to business courses, guest speaking at student-led organizations, volunteering for career-related workshops, hosting students for career treks, sponsoring networking mixers, and facilitating face-to-face interviews.
