UM Business School Welcomes Three New Faculty

Management and marketing expand with outstanding talent

OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi School of Business Administration has welcomed three new faculty members, all of them women, for the 2026-27 academic year.

Lisa Cooley joins the faculty as an instructional assistant professor of management; Julie Moulard is an associate professor of marketing and the Donna Ruth Roberts Scholar; and Nina Krey joins as an associate professor of marketing and the Morris Lewis Professor of Marketing.

Cooley comes to Ole Miss from Delta State University, where she was an assistant professor of marketing and held roles including MBA coordinator and interim assistant dean for the College of Business and Aviation.

“I’m excited and grateful to join the Ole Miss family,” she said. “I’m looking forward to getting to know my students, colleagues and this incredible university community.”

Cooley has taught numerous classes, including social media marketing, sports marketing, strategic marketing and business communication. Her research includes consumer behavior, entrepreneurial ecosystems and the applications of artificial intelligence in business.

At DSU, Cooley received teaching awards, including the Kossman Outstanding Teacher of the Year, Panhellenic Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year, Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award from the College of Business and Aviation, the Student Engagement Educator of the Year and the Emerald Award of Excellence-Top Female Faculty.

She is active in professional and community organizations, including the executive board for the Midwestern Business Administration Association International Conference and the North American Management Society. Cooley also serves on the Mississippi Entrepreneurship Forum Planning Committee.

She has served on numerous community boards, including the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber, Cleveland Development Foundation and Bolivar County Economic Development Foundation.

This fall, Moulard will teach Marketing Communications Thought, a doctoral seminar, and Global Marketing and Supply Chain.

Moulard’s research examines authenticity in marketing, including brand authenticity, human brands, and social media and virtual influencers. A 21-year systematic review identified her as one of three authoritative experts in brand authenticity.

Her work has appeared in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing and other leading journals, and she has received more than 5,500 Google Scholar citations.

“I’m thrilled to join the University of Mississippi at such an exciting time, with record-breaking enrollment and fundraising and significant investment in facilities and infrastructure,” she said. “It is especially meaningful to me that the Academy of Marketing Science’s home office is here at Ole Miss, given my long involvement with the academy, including serving as president and continuing to serve on its board of governors."

Moulard served as president of the Academy of Marketing Science from 2020 to '22 and serves on its board of governors. She earned her doctorate in marketing from Texas A&M University.

Krey comes to Ole Miss after a decade on the faculty at Rowan University's Rohrer College of Business. This fall, she is teaching Marketing Principles.

Her research centers on consumer value and experience in retail and technology-mediated contexts, spanning augmented and virtual reality marketing, wearable and voice-assisted technologies, and the well-being implications of digital and AI-driven consumer environments.

"I'm excited to join the Ole Miss School of Business Administration and to become part of this great community," she said. "It's also an exciting time as I step into the role of president of the Academy of Marketing Science, which is housed here at Ole Miss. I am thrilled for this new chapter. 

She has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles in outlets such as the Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing, Decision Support Systems and Internet Research and has received several research awards, including the Stanley C. Hollander Award for Best Retailing Paper.

Krey is the incoming president of the Academy of Marketing Science and was named a distinguished fellow of the Academy of Marketing Science in 2026.
