Student Spotlight: Ashton Summers

He served as Station Manager for Rebel Radio, where he led a team of student DJs, organized programming initiatives, and helped expand the station’s campus presence. He was also involved in Bonner Leadership, mentoring programs, and various service initiatives that allowed him to develop leadership, communication, and project management skills. 

Following graduation, Ashton joined JPMorganChase as an Analyst within the Corporate & Investment Bank. In his role, he supports Billing Operations. Working within a global organization has allowed him to gain exposure to complex business operations, collaborate with teams across multiple functions, and contribute to initiatives that protect the integrity of the financial system. 

Reflecting on his journey from Ole Miss to JPMorganChase, Ashton credits the university with helping him discover opportunities that challenged him both professionally and personally. Through internships, leadership positions, and involvement across campus, he was able to build a strong foundation that prepared him for the transition into the corporate world. Ashton said, “Career Services played a significant role in helping me navigate the transition from college to my professional career. Through resume reviews, career coaching, networking opportunities, and employer connections, I gained the confidence and preparation needed to pursue competitive opportunities. The guidance I received helped me identify my strengths, effectively communicate my experiences, and ultimately secure a position with JPMorgan Chase.
