This spring, the Sporich Family Career Services Office hosted a Student Leadership Luncheon to recognize the School of Business student organization leaders who have partnered with our office throughout the year.

Student organizations have become some of our strongest partners in helping us connect with students. By working closely with organization leaders, we have been able to better share career resources, promote events, and make sure students are aware of opportunities that can help them prepare for internships and their future careers.

These partnerships have led to several collaborative efforts across the School of Business, including the Futures in Finance Career Fair, Real Estate Career Fair, career-focused presentations tailored to specific student organizations, employer guest speakers, and the sharing of internship and job opportunities with members.

The luncheon was our way of saying thank you to the student leaders who have helped make these efforts successful. Students enjoyed lunch and heard from keynote speaker Dr. Cynthia Maupin, who spoke about the importance of leadership experiences and the impact students can have through their involvement on campus. Each student leader also received a certificate of appreciation and a School of Business lapel pin in recognition of their contributions.

Tong Meng, Assistant to the Dean for Strategic Initiatives and advisor for the Entrepreneurship Society, shared the importance of recognizing student leaders and their contributions to the School of Business community.

"The Student Leader Luncheon is a meaningful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the dedication and impact of student leaders across the business school. Events like this highlight the hard work, leadership, and commitment that drive our student organizations forward, while also providing a space for reflection, connection, and appreciation. We are grateful for the continued support that helps empower our student leaders to succeed."

We are thankful for our student organization leaders and appreciate the partnership they have built with the Sporich Family Career Services Office. Their collaboration has helped us connect more students with employers, expand career development opportunities, and better prepare our students for success after graduation.
