Sydney shared her experience with MentorEase.
- What have you enjoyed most about being part of the mentorship program?
- Honestly, we’ve just enjoyed getting to know each other! It’s been nice having someone to talk to where we just "click", whether we’re bouncing around ideas, working through challenges, or just catching up about life. It has been a joy to get to know each other on a not only professional, but personal level as well!
- How has this experience impacted you personally or professionally?
- We’ve learned from each other in different ways, and it’s been helpful having someone to lean on, talk things out with, and celebrate the small wins. It’s made the day-to-day feel a little lighter knowing you have someone in your corner!
- What advice would you give to future mentors or mentees?
- Be open, be honest, and don’t overthink it. You don’t have to have all the right answers. Just show up and be willing to be open-minded and listen. The best connections come from just being yourself and being willing to say "yes" to being out of your comfort zone at times.
The Ole Miss Business School is still seeking mentors to share their expertise and provide guidance to our students. To learn more, visit MentorEase.
