Student Profile: Aaron Wyckoff
OXFORD, Miss. – Aaron Wyckoff is currently a junior majoring in finance, risk management insurance and professional sales at the University of Mississippi School of Business Administration.
“Despite my heavy interest in the insurance industry, I have paired the 3 majors together as I think they will give me the necessary skills to succeed anywhere in the business world,” he said.
He is the Vice President of Gamma Iota Sigma and a member of the Financier’s Club. Aaron acknowledges his business school professors and staff members for preparing him for his future career.
“The business school gave me the backing that I needed to explore different careers and find my passions.”
Aaron utilized the Internship Support Fund offered by the Ole Miss Business School to assist with his living expenses while completing an internship with Amwins Brokerage in Tampa, Florida. After completing his internship as a Property Brokerage Intern, he successfully passed all exams for his Illinois Property and Casualty Insurance license.
“Wesley Dickens, Director of Career Services, helped me with my resume several times throughout the fall semester and that prepared me very well for the RMI career fair in late winter,” he said. “In addition to Wesley's help, Drs. Ivonne and Andre Liebenberg as well as my advisor Kim Phillips all played critical roles in my career journey.”
